Go Ultra Low – The Car

There are increasing signs of the UK switching to electric vehicles on a national scale: charging points everywhere and a higher number of electric vehicles on the roads. Go Ultra Low is a joint venture between government and the automotive industry to encourage even more people to go electric and demonstrate the normalisation of the technology.

However, people worry that everyday life would be harder or even impossible in an electric car. ‘The Car’ campaign illustrates a surprisingly wide range of electric vehicles doing everything a less efficient car can. By removing the word ‘electric’ in visually engaging yet everyday scenarios, people can see they can do everything you would normally in an EV, and start to feel more confident about switching to electric.

So maybe it is time to stop thinking of them as electric cars, and just call them what they are now and will be in the future: the car.
